Between 7th and 8th November the FACS4WORKERS consortium faced its third and final review by the representatives of the European Commission. The EC reviewers, Ms. Ewelina Pysklo and Prof. Paul Xirouchakis reviewed the FACTS4WORKERS consortium’s achievements in each one of its 6 industrial use-cases. The project presentation included a detailed description of work done in each work package and a live demonstration of the IT-based solutions that were developed for use on the pilots’ shop floor settings.
The extensive review meeting covered work done in project’s 8 work packages and a detailed presentation of project use cases with an emphasis on feedback from industrial partners. The consortium was very proud to present concrete and very specific results originating from the FACTS4WORKERS project. Among them one must definitely point out a completely new product – EVO CALL and EVO ASSIST software application for remote assistance – a new business models of knowledge transfer between university and SME between University of Zürich and IT company NETSYNO and creation of a completely new spin-off from University of Firenze – IT-solution company MANULITIC. All in all, the FACTS4WORKERS project enabled in excess of 10 million EUR of follow-up project at the project’s partners at different levels in national and European R&D calls.
For the partners of the FACTS4WORKERS project, the Brussels meeting was a conclusion of a successfully and fruitful cooperation. The closing event of the project will be on 21st November at the Virtual Vehicle Research Centre in Graz, Austria.
