The FACTS4WORKERS project began to research organisational and worker practices in a first workshop organized by WP1 entitled “Worker needs, organizational requirements and Industrial Challenges”, which was held on the first day of the project kick-off meeting. It was led by the consortium partner University of Zurich, Department of Informatics, who did a great job in explaining the approach on how to derive requirements for smart factory solutions within the project.

WP1 aims to capture workers’ and organizations’ needs and requirements for information and knowledge based support in manufacturing. It refines industrial challenges and also develops organizational and human-centred models to make manufacturing processes and cultures fit for the developed smart factory solution.

This first very interactive project work package workshop was very productive and beneficial for all partners.
